Spring

We are certainly enjoying spring this year. Especially after the hardest winter this area has seen in 20 years. I know that seems laughable to my fellow North Dakotans... 2 days of snow and a couple of hard freezes.

Here was Ryan's latest dad confession: I was with Isabel at dance class so he had Liza duty. Liza needed her diaper changed and he couldn't find the wipes so he improvised with windex and paper towels. Aaahhh windex the good ole' multi-purpose cleaner. So while I monitored her closely for skin complications and imagined how to explain this to the pediatrician, he relished a job well done.

Ready for some shopping with her new purse from gramma

My funny anecdote from work:

I'm going to paraphrase a letter one of our kindergarten teachers received today from a parent........

"Can you help me? My son thinks he is turning into a leprachaun. He says his ears are getting pointy and he is shrinking. He keeps saying he needs to go to Ben's house to get a potion. I have told him this isn't true but he insists it is. Can you talk to him?"

Overheard

Isabel to Liza: "I can't wait to celebrate your birthday! I got you something already. Its a kitty piano. Can you say kitty? Liza say kitty."

Ummm....what happened to the pact to keep Liza's present a secret?

A Trip to the Children's Museum

We picked the only rainy day to venture downtown during Spring Break for a museum outing.

So I did this post a little backward. But here is Isabel's book that she had so much fun making. My favorite is the Longhorn page because she explained to me that she made her cow a girl with curly eyelashes.

All About Texas

Isabel is so proud of her project she made in school. She told me, "Mom I made something very special and I'm the author." She has carried this book with her everywhere we've gone this weekend.

A Helping Hand

Ryan is in the middle of another re-modeling project. This time its the garage. We threw away a ton of junk and painted the floors. That goopy floor paint is NOT easy to work with. So now we have everything that should be in the garage sitting in our backyard. Hopefully it will all be complete this weekend. Then we get to start on our backyard which is full of dead vegetation due to all the cold weather this year.

On a different note.....I work with kids with autism and one of them shouted out a bad word today so my co-worker asked, "Why, for the love of Pete, would you say that word?" His reply.............Who's Pete?

You have until midnight to complete your merrymaking. Liza will be done long before that.

Hangin out with grandma and grandpa

The girls had a good time with grandma and grandpa. Isabel can't wait until summer when she gets to go visit everyone.
